LiveBuyEat is the first social networking site built exclusively by and for the benefit of neighborhood communities. We personally connect you and your neighbors with one another and local restaurants and businesses that are interested in your repeat patronage. 

LBE is a free, but verified, membership only meeting space organized by neighborhood. In large cities, it might be a geographical area as small as 10-20 blocks. In the suburbs, it might be a small town or neighborhood within a few minutes by car where the community at large gathers. Each neighborhood has one or more Coordinators who live in your neighborhood working to organize exclusive events sponsored by local restaurants, businesses, and brands that are interested in creating a special bond with their neighbors. 

If you know someone that owns or works at a business that you frequent regularly, you are always more likely to receive the best service, discounts, and benefits. LBE provides you with the opportunity to meet and interact with business owners who are interested in getting to know you. The best thing of all is that you manage all relationships on your own. Wouldn't it be great to walk into a restaurant or bar in your neighborhood and be greeted by a familiar face, one that knows your name? LBE is a simple and non intrusive way to make this happen.  

LBE's mission is to provide you with the opportunity to engage and communicate with real people face-to-face, away from electronic devices. Don't get us wrong, online interactions are part of how we connect people to businesses, but once you meet people in your neighborhood, those communications are your own. Today, online social networking has become the standard for communicating images, videos, and information to friends, families, and acquaintances. Since LBE is a free site, we are predominately funded by sponsorships and through selling advertisements from business in your neighborhood interested in meeting you. We do not and will never sell your personal information or metadata to any third parties. 

Because it is important to us that our events are populated by people who live within a specific neighborhood, we verify members in a variety of ways. In New York City for example, we organize mixer events in residential buildings exclusively for residents of that building. This way when people register to attend an event, we know they live at that address. Additionally, we have directed mailing programs in which we send snail mail post cards to residents in specific zip codes that contain codes allowing us to confirm where the card was mailed. Finally, since some of our events involve restaurants or bars where liquor is served, we verify identification to ensure that everyone is of the proper age to participate. 

Neighborhood Coordinators must undergo a strict background search by LBE and verify that they live and have solid ties within the neighborhood they are interested in coordinating. Because these coordinators represent LBE in your area, we want to make sure that they are up for the challenge. Neighborhood Coordinators are charged with identifying business partners, organizing and executing community events, and verifying membership applications.
